I listed 150 Baquet families within the USA, I have various informations about their origins :

  Some came during the 19th century from Canada, via Woonsocket and are related to Bacquet dit Lamontagne. Others, come from Rochefort towards 1660, would have fled Acadie in front of English in 1760.

  Others have an ancestor come directly from France: George H Baquet in Missouri, Jean-Claude Bacquet de Loos in Illinois, Joseph Bacqué of Vic-in-Bigorre in Louisiana, there would be also a pirate who would have had time to create family in Louisiana before sinking with his boat.

  I remain very interested by any part of this puzzle which account today several hundreds!
